The Mazda MX-5 Club of SA was formed in October 1990 with the aim of enhancing the enjoyment of owning the world's most popular, affordable and reliable sport car.  Since them the Club has grown and maintained about 80 members of all ages.  We also maintain close contact with MX-5 Clubs interstate  and overseas.  In October of this year, the Club celebrates its 20th Anniversary.

The MX-5 Clubs of Australia host a national meeting (NATMEET) every two years on a rotation basis.  This began with the SA Club in 1994 and again in 2002. The ACT Club will be hosting the event in Canberra in 2012.  The SA and Victorian Clubs also have a weekend away each year, alternating the hosting.  The next such event will be held in March 2011.

The Mazda MX-5 Club of South Australia aims to provide a relaxed and enjoyable environment for like minded Mazda MX-5 drivers whether their preference is motor sport or purely social.

All members have one thing in common - the enjoyment of owning and driving the Mazda MX-5.

The Club organises regular social and sporting events throughout the year, which are enjoyed by both male and female members alike. 

Social activities include observation rallies, picnics, day and evening drives (usually to a dining venue), ten-pin bowling nights, mid-year and Christmas dinners, technical days and weekends away.   

Through our affiliation with the Marque Sports Car Association, the Club participates in sprint days at the Mallala Motor Sport Park where members can legally test themselves against the clock in a safe and controlled environment.  Club members can also participate in periodic advanced driver training courses at Mallala.

The Club has a growing team of dedicated motor sport enthusiasts who are always looking for new  members and helpers to join their group.  

We have members of all ages and from all walks of life.  Mazda Australia is a major sponsor of our activities.  This is a club for everyone and we would welcome your involvement and contribution.  To encourage individual participation, we have a Member of the Year award.
